Madonna’s new single is out, but as a ringtone only for now.

I found an MP3 sample here. Kylie meets ABBA.

The new full-length Confessions On A Dancefloor is out in November. For the album cover Esther wisely chose to hide her face.

  1. I think I’m scared…but so long as she has stopped rapping…we might all be ok.

  2. Madonna is the new Cher!

  3. can someone say….’OLDFRAPP?
    oh dear.

  5. that's not it  |   Posted on Sep 19th, 2005

That’s not the actual song, nor a sample of it. Thi is the intro from the Motorola site and other leaked (at various speeds) samples edited together. The actual song has not leaked yet, this was edited together by a fan and posted on a fansite forum, where it was then taken and posted by Pink and Perez.

But, this is NOT the song, that’s why it’s only 1:20 or whatever.

  6. I want the ringtone where Madonna says “What the FUCK do you think you’re doing?”

    http://www.google.com/search?q=madonna+mp3+%22think+you%27re+doing%3F%22&btnG=Search

  7. She looks pretty good in that picture.

    Hellooooooo airbrush.

  8. smitty  |   Posted on Sep 19th, 2005

isn’t she almost 50 or something? yikes.

  9. Her pose makes me think she’s saying “Wait, wait. Don’t help me, I can get up on my own. It’s just another broken hip.”

  10. i, uh, gotta admit i like Madonna.. and i, uh, gotta admit i listen to her ‘Ray of Light’ and ‘Music’ CD’s often.. and i, uh, gotta admit i still think she’s HOT…. thank you for the confession time…

  14. mark  |   Posted on Sep 19th, 2005

  15. Emma  |   Posted on Sep 19th, 2005

Hey, Steve. KYLIE. As in Kylie Minogue, not Kyle from South Park. Yay for Madonna for realeasing another album at her age. The comment about her weird pose and the airbrushing are SO true and hilarious.

so glad I wasn’t the only one that noticed the blatant Abba rip off.

  17. calliwell  |   Posted on Sep 20th, 2005

I don’t know, this artwork is turning me off. It screams “disco compilation”.

  18. is that the position she landed in when she fell off her horse?

ps. jenny, she samples abba. not a rip-off. unless sampling is ripping off. ha!

  19. Gabe  |   Posted on Sep 21st, 2005

I have to say that Madge is frickin’ amazing regardless of anything said, and half the world will be dancing to her new shit come November!!

Madonna is the best !!! I want to see all of you when you are her age, she looks hotter then ever. She is still the queen. For over twenty years, she makes history. This is a living legend. Respect !!!!!!!

  22. enroc  |   Posted on Sep 22nd, 2005

I bet your Mum doesn’t look that great.

  23. It sounds to me like all the people who have nothing better to do than to trash Mrs. Ritchie, are definitely jealous, or suffering from a serious childhood experience. So continue on with the negative critisicm. She will always be Madonna and there is not a damn thing you can do about it. Bravo! Madonna! You are the shit!!!!

  24. Brandon Kuznetsov  |   Posted on Sep 22nd, 2005

She looks sexy and hot (at whatever age), she is NOT the new Cher (don’t get your hopes up buddy) or Kylie MInogue or whoever else your comparing her to. This album is gonna be tight. Stop hating on her, you dumb bastards, it’s really pathetic. GOOOO SUN DEVILS!!!ASU!!

  25. ceegee  |   Posted on Sep 22nd, 2005

    Kyle meets Abba??

    In Kylie’s dreams!

To those critising, give it a couple of weeks. It’ll be “cool” to like Madonna again and you’ll all jump on the bandwagon…again!

Remember pre Ray of Light?. M was treated like a joke. A couple of weeks later she was a musical genius.

bunch of haters! She’s still making fun music, and trying new stuff after all these years. Who else is doing or has done that? nobody

  28. luckystar  |   Posted on Sep 23rd, 2005

I don’t care if Madonna was 75 with false teeth and an oxygen tank and singing from a freakin’ hovaround… she’d still be 100 times more fabulous and more relevant than Britny, Christina, Ashley, Jessica, Hilary, Lindsay, and all the other wannabe’s COMBINED! Don’t get it twisted! (That’s three snaps in a Z formation!)

  29. pussy  |   Posted on Sep 23rd, 2005

  30. Jeff  |   Posted on Sep 23rd, 2005

Madonna is so hott, I love this cover art. Its supposto look disco! She just made a dance album, with what she considers the new disco, and its sounds pretty damn good so far. Plus Madonna is the first to use a sample from Abba, they never let anyone before, goes to show the power of madonna.

  31. Ritchie  |   Posted on Sep 23rd, 2005

I always wondered why people who don’t obviously like her, always find the time and energy to put her down?!?! Anyway, she said it best, this is about “unapologetic and spontaneous” dance music, just fun.

  32. RememberME  |   Posted on Sep 23rd, 2005

Do you know madonna wore hot pants first before kylie on tv? Have you not seen her in the Girlie show concert?! Anyway! Kylie will be listening and buying Madonna new songs for sure ! Who is the Queen!!!???

  33. The best thing about Madonna is she is contstanly evolving and trying new types of music and taking risks.
Can hardly wait for the new cd!!!!!!
Ray of light still rocks. Listen to it at least once a week.
    Go Girl!!

  34. Rene  |   Posted on Sep 24th, 2005

I always get sucked back into Madonnadom some how, Stuart Price “Jaques Lu Cont” rocks and made a better job of Hollywood, can only wait for “Hung Up”

  35. Madonna is one of the greatest singers of our time, and she proved that in Holland last year. Tickets were sold out in less than half an hour. There will always be people who want to put her down, but she has a steady fanbase (i’m one of them). I like the way Madonna experiments (and experimented) with sexuality and crossing the borders sometimes. Don’t joke and say she’s trying to be kylie, or Cher. Madonna’s madonna, a unique and very inspiring person. Not only because of her music, but also through her character and work ethic. So, don’t give a fuck….I’m looking forward to confessions on a dancefloor.

  36. bdog  |   Posted on Sep 24th, 2005

I can’t believe all these people still hate Madonna. That is so 1992! She has matured into a phenomenal philanthropist and maternal role-model. Stop hating on her. To say she is trying to be Kylie is absurd. Kylie (and I love her) was still doing the fucking locamotion when Madge got her first pair of hotpants! She is an iconic talent and should be respected so. All the hate-mongers need to put there focus on the real enemy in music – Hillary Duff!!! She released a greatest hits album and has never had a top 10 song. And she’s like 15 years old. Ironically she also weighs 15 pounds now, but that’s beside the point. Madonna is great, has been great, and will constantly keep re-inventing herself. She doesn’t have to make albums anymore, but I thank god that she still does!

  37. looey  |   Posted on Sep 24th, 2005

    ————————————————
Well…with that i’ll have to desagree.
Look i’ve always loved Madonna – got all her albums and most of her singles but if she is just gonna hook up with shit producers to release this kinda crap i prefer that she would stop before she becomes a joke.
    ————————————————

  38. Suneil  |   Posted on Sep 24th, 2005

I don’t understand why anyone would want to slag off Madonna! I think its so cruel and totally unfair! She a real genius and without her, pop would be dead!! She’s beautiful and the new album is gonna be incredible..long live the queen of pop!!

  39. pads  |   Posted on Sep 25th, 2005

god..would you all get a life! let’s just wait for the record and see if she has come up with the goods again after the disappointment american life was.

she’s just a person and a singer who has moments of genius.

i find it funny that if anyone criticises her, fans go crazy. none of you actually know her – what u see is what she wants you to see. take off the blinkers and concentrate on something a little more tangible.

hilarious! do some of you know what u sound like?

  40. Armand V  |   Posted on Sep 25th, 2005

For all the Madonna haters, lets look at it from a real perspective…

how many of you will ever win numerous MTV/Billboard/VH-1/Rollingstones or AMA?
    …NONE

how many of you will ever win numerous
    American Music,or Grammy Awards ?
    hmmm?…NADA

how many of you will win a GoldenGlobe for
a lead role in an epic musical?
    …NIL

how many of you will be a best selling book author of 5 books in 9 different languages, sell millions
and donate all the proceeds to charity?
    pfff!…YA RIGHT…ZERO

how many of you will ever take risks in life and become a pioneer, trailblazer and fashion/music icon and remain a powerful creative force for 20 years?
    ….OH thats tuff!

The reality IS Madonna’s success scares those that are not willing to be inspired by it.

Those that only have negative comments to post about her seriously need to check themselves because you aint got an ounce of her determination, competence, creative aptitude and artistic ambition….(www.dictionary.com)cuz I know you don’t know what those adjectives mean!
    haha

    dont hate!

    peace out.

Madonna rocks period! as far as Kylie, hasn’t she gotten tired of trying to be Madonna yet? please nobody can compare to lady Madonna(the QUEEN of pop and ONE and only TRUE Icon. as far as the sample, there are plenty of other’s out there doing enough of that, so why not Madonna? after all she is using Abba, God knows they are played out by queens anyhow..so what is the beef? as far as her age, that has NOTHING to do with her TALENT and status as the ICON she is, as far as rapping on american life(she did it well, too bad you didn’t enjoy it, but yet you enjoy Gwen Stefani(yuck)as far as Madonna being the NEW cher, she has ALREADY long ago overpowered her so get over it, as far as the sample of Hung up, I LOVE IT, it is fresh and NEW which is what the music industry needs right now, again Madonna is going to attempt to push the envelopes which she obviously does or otherwise your young or tired asses would not be here bitching and moaning, which completey makes me laugh because you still pay attention so therefore it leads me to believe that you must “wonder” what she is doing or going to do with these stupid no talent little bimbo’s who are trying so desperatley to be Madonna and have her success, which sadly they will never have, and yes Kylie will NEVER HAVE IT, the loco motion was a copied song that she did to even get her on the map of music, so who is the funny one here? not Madonna, and besides that Kylie’s sister is better than her anyhow! I cannot wait till this single from Madonna drops and above all the cd which I will buy the moment it is released. oh and for the cover of the cd…every disco, club or establishment that plays club music or whatever has a DISCO ball so perhaps your either too young to go to a club or too old to get your ass off the computer and go out to see a disco ball…she looks great and so does her hair…Madonna is always winning for her achievments one of most recent for beig sexy, so since your not ont he cover of a cd or magazine and at her age, please shut up..where will you be when your 47? probably not doing as well as Madonna..oh let’s not forget her recent SOLD OUT TOURS and just how much true fans will pay or travel to see a real performer, musician and ICON…oh about the horse riding accident, at least she was doing somthing worth while and not whoring herself to sell records like some poeple we know…enough said..MADONNA RULES!

  42. Terry Jones  |   Posted on Sep 26th, 2005

one final thing I Almost forgot to mention is all the poeple who sample Madonna…and bite her music…please do your research right and get the facts together before you bitch about the queen, she has been copied and sampled so many times that it frightens me to see so many no talent “singers” out there..but do keep talking about Madonna because it shows madonna and her fans just how intrested in her you really are…to the guy who wrote about this being so 1992, I totally agree with you…and to the guy who mentioned the hot pants..Madonna did do that WAY before Kylie…lmao!

  43. Jeff  |   Posted on Sep 26th, 2005

Stuart Price is not a shitty producer! Hes well respected for being 30, and hes worked with the likes of No Doubt, which had a few more than 1 or two hits

  44. madonnamaniac  |   Posted on Sep 26th, 2005

madonna we adore you.you are the greatest artist ever.the biggest phenomenon in music history.you always make us trully happy with your existance.hung up ruuuuuuuules.always t h e n u m b e r 1.respect.your greatest fan from greece. WE ADORE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  45. .*.*.*MADONNA IS NOT THE NEW CHER.*.*.

.*.*.*MADONNA IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE MADONNA.*.*.

    POST FROM BRAZIL

  46. Funny thing: Some people write slightly negative remarks (some of which were more or less ironic) on this board and a hundred self-appointed Madonna-protectors arrive to praise her (“she’s the queen, the best, not the new cher, etc.”) and to slag of the “Madonna-haters”.

Isn’t one allowed to be sceptical about this new single? Only because it’s Madonna, it doesn’t mean that it’s automatically good! Come on!

I think we should wait until we can hear the finished product to give our final judgement. But after hearing this short sample, I have to say I was mildly shocked (this didn’t sound like Madonna at all but like a very cheap Abba cover band).

One last thing: Stuart Price is shitty. He has made some clever tunes and has nice pseudonymes, but as a producer, he’s so yesterday and lame. The worst choice of a producer in a very, very long time for Madonna. IMHO.

P.S.: I quite liked the American Life album (apart from the title track).

  47. theTruthaboutMadonna  |   Posted on Sep 26th, 2005

Um, if it wasnt for the gay men that want to Be MADONNa, she would have been a has been by now. In reality… OUR QUEEN of pop MOVED to England? WTF?
seriously, she was great, she was innovative…but there is only so many times you can re invent yourself. aka: no direction, no real talent.
Her cds stop selling as soon as she stopped being a media freak, hanging with lesbians, sucking guys toes, coke binges, and thowing her cunt around like rice at a wedding.
SHE IS WASHED UP AND OVER THE HILL….i cant wait to see her on Surreal Life.
with DEBBIE Gibson, BOY GEORGE, GEORGE MICHEAL, ANNIE LENNOX, EDDIE RABBIT, RICHARD MARX AND FRED SAVAGE.

  48. It all depends on your opinion, im glad she working with Price, for a change, it could be her best album yet, as earlier mentioned . . who knows, untill its released. Some may say Mirwas is crap, and he was known little of untill Madge met up with him. Some even say madonna was ruined when she made the ablum “music” with Mirwas. I can remember before Ray of Light, many thought she was nuts and going through somthing weird when she hooked up with Orbit, and it turned out to be a very popular album, and she picked up many new fans from that album. I enjoy the album american life as well, despide what critics say, and for confessions on a dancefloor well just have to wait and see, whos to say its good or bad, it cant be that bad, maybe those who dont like it, will like what she does next, as Madonna herself said, if your gonna be a revolutionary, your going to go through periods where no many people like you

  49. Armand V  |   Posted on Sep 27th, 2005

odonna…Of course people can be skeptical of her new single since it is not fully out yet.

But to say Madonna is talentless despite 20 years of tremendous success and innovation, and diss her because shes 47 years old is absurd and ignorant.period.

Wake up people. Madonna and other people in this lifetime are here to inspire us to be our best, push our limits and evolve and all you can do is dog her.

HAHAHA anyhow fuck all ya’ll because your lives are probably pretty sad, and you probably sit and complain about why you aint even getting paid minimum wage…and your dissing a 47yr old woman that sold out worldwide concerts in less than an hour…hahaha..what the fuck are YOU doing????….hahah….dont hate!

hangin’ up on your ass. shoot.

Madonna. Where would the music industry be without this Dynamic woman? Shes been in our lives for the past 20+ years, making music, performing at sold out concerts, all over the tabloids, never ending changing her look, style and our opinions about her. Love or hate Madonna, shes proved to have the staying power of one of the most influential woman in music ever! For those of you who adore her and love her music will be out on the dancefloors. those who hate her will synch her music in your cars! “music, makes the people, come together”

  55. SAUL  |   Posted on Sep 27th, 2005

What I always find funny and stupid is not Madonna’s rap in American Life, It is all the people who claim to dislike her but still find the time and place in their “intresting lives” to put her and her work down. You people are just pathetic. All of you know she is talented and intresting, that is why no one can’t stop talking about her.

  58. Madonna's rap from American Life was an obvious statement  |   Posted on Sep 27th, 2005

I’m not sure why people don’t get how genius Madonna’s American Life album was (not to mention her rap in the title song). Anyone who doesn’t get that she was taking the piss out of ‘commercialized America’ is clearly an idot. Rap and Hip Hop are artforms – unfortunately in the American machine, Rap has been commercialized and bastardized just like coffee (Starbucks), Yoga, and Mini Coopers. Hence the reason she was pointing that out by rapping about them, clear as day. Wake up people – the woman’s smart as shit – she knows what she’s doing. For the criticizers – it is your perogative after all, but maybe you should take a closer look and be a little less judgemental – the rest of us think you’re missing something. I guess with the new album cover we can all look forward to getting over our war hangovers and have a party finally! Looking forward to November 15!

ok, even artists who are 20 get their album cover airbrushed, so who cares. AND everyone has been stealing pop music from eachother for years. It’s pop, it’s not like there is this enormous amount of different things you can do with this pathetic form of art anyway. You all act like she is stealing from real musicians, like ABBA! HAHA that’s funny. It’s trash all trash. And guess what, Madonna does it the best. She always has and always will. So you can love her or love to hate her. But in essence she loves herself and if you HATE madonna and feel the need to pick her apart you obviously don’t love youself enough. Madonna is amazing.

  61. c’mon …. why dish madonna about her age …. what would you do when your turning in too your 47′s .. you wanna look like an old hag ? she’s still looking very good at her age and never go over the edge …. like cher for example
i like the song , i like the cover can’t wait for the album . if you wanna dish , dish with the right arguments

ER, has Madonna ever produced a shit record? I think not.
Single tracks, maybe, albums NO! Even American Life was a good album, you Americans just couldn’t see it. It was fully appreciated here in the UK!

  66. BillyBoy  |   Posted on Sep 29th, 2005

Honestly the Single/ Album isn’t out yet and there are already negative comments. It will sell well, the cover looks great and I bet the lippy one’s would sing and dance along if she came on stage so try making a little less noise and enjoy the hype.

  67. Material_boy  |   Posted on Sep 29th, 2005

Fuck all you people who dis madonna!! Madonna is awesome, and regardless of what u fuck heads say…she will be popular forever. she has shaped pop into what it is today and all u people r hating on her. her album WILL sell and she will be on top, as she always has. so kiss madonna’s ass, because she is THE diva! and for all those Madonna lovers out there, u rock! because we outweigh all those fucked up crackheads who dis her. I love you madonna, so ignore those idiots! and keep the great music coming, cause I will be listening, as well of all of those who appreciate ur entertainment.

  68. Sandy  |   Posted on Sep 29th, 2005

Madonna is a truly great talent and people who slag her off are simply jealous of her incredible talent and how she has used it. Madonna was worked harder than any of us can probably imagine to stay genuinely at the top of the Music game for the last 20 years – she deserves respect and recognition – she is incredibly talented, smart and hard working and makes timeless great records, she is a great songwriter and performer

Just remember all you stupid twats slagging Madonna off for being ‘old’ that you too will be 47 one day and I bet you don’t look anywhere near as good as Madonna does today and have acheived the success she has over the past 20 years – year after year turning out great musis, great videos, great world tours and so on. This woman does not stop she is a true warrier and we should be thankful that we are alive in the same era that she is here. She brightens up people’s worlds and is a great source of inspiriation for people all over the world

  69. Christ  |   Posted on Sep 29th, 2005

All you haters are lame. She’s almost 50, and looks better than you do. her collaboration with Jacques Lu Cont will kill. Her pose on the album cover says, “my yoga skills are at an olympic level.” she just scores some extra points with me for canning david lachapelle, and to the person that says the only color she hasn’t yet had is silver–Fever (1993).

  70. Chad  |   Posted on Sep 29th, 2005

How many female artists can say they have been around for almost 25 years and still remain just as strong as they were when they just started out. Madonna is Madonna. No matter what you think of her or her music she knows how to keep the public intersted and wanting more. Can’t wait to buy the CD. Chad

  71. Funky_kinda_guy  |   Posted on Sep 29th, 2005

Ok, just because it’s Madonna doesn’t mean it will be great, I mean, Bedtimes Stories wasn’t exactly a stunning album, infact if it had been anyone other than Madonna I wouldn’t own it, but from what I have heard and seen from the new album it’s gonna be great. Stuart Price isn’t a shitty producer at all, you say he’s made some great music but is rubbish as a producer forgetting that he produces all his own music aswell as having worked with everyone from Gwen Stefani to New Order.

The simple fact here is that no matter how much you hate Madonna, I really doubt she cares. Madonna has made a career on being controversial, she started off by being the ‘slut’ character and now she’s reached 47 she’s being controversial by releasing an album of songs we’re all going to want to get up and dance to, besides, what’s being 47 got to do with anything? David Bowie is in his 60s and having heart attacks on stage and no one is telling him to stop, you all just hate her because she is a strong and, frankly, talented female (she’s been around for 25 years, there is no way Britney will pull that off). So by hating Madonna you’re doing exactly what she likes, she doesn’t care if you like or hate her, aslomg as you know she’s there, which, even after the poor sales of American Life we all know she’s still aorund.

i love the bedtime stories album it is one of my fav and i love the song bedtime stroes and the video is just ausome. but madonna doesnt have to bring anymore albums out does she she is 47 a supererb looking women WITHOUT sergerie or botox and she owns her own record lable so she makes money from that everyone that playes her music in pubs and adverts and uses them for there own song she makes money on that then there is the cds already out she still making money on that, as wel as films and books and whatever else is out there. the last count madonna on her own without guy was worth £350 million. But she keeps doing music for her fan and the people that love her to say thankyou and i dont think she cares if it sells or not as long as the people enjoy what she has done. just think she started out with only $16 to her name now look i bow down to you madonna i really do.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

i love reading this site – it’s amazing how one person can have such an effect on people, insomuch that people literally live and breath madonna on a daily basis.

from what i’ve heard, having been at some of the stuart price sets in ibiza – the album sounds ‘a back to the best’ stage for madonna. especially loved the mix i heard of i love new york – place went bonkers when it became clear who it was.

not everyone likes madonna, so chill people! let people have their own opinion and don’t get so stupdily upset – you would think she was your mother!

I read with interest the comparisons to Kylie and ‘Spinning Around’. Hmmm. I am (have been) a huge Kylie fan since she first showed up on Ramsey Street in her blue dungarees in 1988. Even through the weird mid-90′s shit, I was there. She is pure, unadulterated bubble gum pop polished to perfection. She does what she does incredibly well. BUT… I am the first to admit that she is indeed a poor man’s Madonna. To compare the album cover of ‘Confessions…’ and the vibe it exudes to ‘Light Years’ is like saying Moet tastes just like Asti Spumanti. This – and just about everything Madonna does – is pure class. LaChappelle, the pose, the tinted colouring… this tells us what to expect and I have no doubt it will be as fresh and revolutionary as every one of Madge’s previous incarnations. ‘Recycling disco’? PLEASE. Is it possible to come up with anything completely original in today’s media-saturated world? All of Madonna’s previous reinventions have involved intelligent riffs on the looks of past iconography. This is a woman in charge of herself, a smart and ruthlessly talented artist who knows how to deliver. And as for the negative press prior to release; well, what other album (or artist, for that matter) this year has whipped up such speculation prior to release? It’s publicity, people! Genius.

madonna definitely isn’t copying kylie minogue. madonna will just be tightening up the weak links that kylie failed to strengthen when she ushered the neo disco fever. watch it…come novemeber, a lot of people will be sweating it out on a new dance revolution that madonna will start. kylie and other wannabes will start to bite the dust once again. nobody comes close to the queen’s throne ever yet.

I have been Madonna’s fan since i was in high school. ‘Like a Prayer’ was my first record. All i can remember is that, there are two kind of people, one that hates her so much and that loves her. Regardless which one you are, you only make her famous than ever. She is a very smart business woman and entertainer. For all of you who says nasty thing just because of her age, remember.. you will get older too. And you better be smart and live your life and take full advantage of it just like Madonna does. In that sense, you will have to learn from her. So just shut up and enjoy her music and dance !

back to her roots – dance music. she is wonderful.

  83. i thought it sounded like “Rasputin” or some other Boney M kinda shit. it works, but that’s because it’s been done before. don’t worry kids, she’ll still sell a load of cd’s and mp3′s and blah blah blah. if you like her, like her. if you don’t don’t. the true test will be whether you can play it 20 years from now and still like it / find it relevant.

Hey if Madonna were a man she wouldn’t get nearly as much criticism. So many people get freaked out by a rich successful woman; looks like things haven’t changed. Too bad…

  87. I’ve actually heard the new song “Hung Up” and it’s a first for Madge to sample another group’s (Abba) song. The entire album is full of dance songs as Madonna is going back to the formula that made her. Sales of “American Life” were dismal and she realized that she had to get back to music she knew best rather than political commentary.
As for references of Kylie copying her, I have friends who are fashion sylists for both Madge and Kylie and they are actually respectful of each other. Kylie is the most popular female vocalist from Austalia and she is well received all over the world outside of the USA (until she released the album, FEVER and “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” started winding up on American TV commercials). She is often refered to as the Australian Madonna just as Laura Pausini is refered to as the Italian Madonna. When a woman releases a whole bunch of pop albums that go platinum one always refers to them as a version of Madonna. So all you faux Madonna fans stop bashing other singers! Madge wouldn’t! Who do you think you are? Sir Elton John?

FYI: Madonna gave Kylie’s sister Dannii her music and backup vocal track to “Into The Groove” for Dannii’s remix of “Don’t Wanna Lose This Feeling” which is on the ‘NEON NIGHTS’ limited edition album. Madonna also wrote and did the backup vocals for Laura Pausini’s single, “Mi Abbandono A Te” from Laura’s 2004 album ‘RESTA IN ASCOLTO’.
As for the mp3 of Madonna saying “What the fuck do you think you’re doing?”, that was her reply for music pirates on the “American Life” leak.

  89. from Madonna’s official website:

Madonna has finalized the track list for her new album, “Confessions on a Dancefloor.” Producer Stuart Price tells Billboard the 12-track set, due Nov. 15 via Warner Bros., is continuously mixed and that closer “Like It or Not” was the perfect choice to conclude the album.

“Basically, it’s Madonna saying, ‘This is who I am. This is what I do. Take it or leave it,’” Price said of the track during a Q&A earlier this week at the 12th annual Billboard Dance Music Summit in New York.

Price — who was the musical conductor on Madonna’s Re-Invention tour — said the entire album, including the vocals, was recorded in his home studio in London. Apparently, he has a female neighbor that cries throughout the day and night. So, if you listen closely, “you may hear her on background vocals,” Price said with a laugh.

The album’s first single, “Hung Up,” is currently featured in ads for the new Motorola/iTunes phone. The cut is available as a ringtone via MTV.com and VH1.com.

Here is the track list for “Confessions on a Dancefloor”:

    “Hung Up”
    “Get Together”
    “Sorry”
    “Future Lovers”
    “I Love New York’
    “Let It Will Be”
    “Forbidden Love”
    “Jump”
    “How High”
    “Isaac”
    “Push”
    “Like It or Not”

DISC JOCKEYS from all across the U.S. converged in a small, chic backroom down at 14th Street’s Lotus NYC restaurant last Wednesday afternoon. They were there to listen to three tracks from Madonna’s soon-due “Confessions on a Dance Floor” album, and to meet the CD’s brilliant British producer, Stuart Price. Although it was all very casual, with cocktails and munchies, the music men = and women = listened intently, in their own hectic, head-bobbing way. (And most of them looked like fresh-faced college students!) M’s sound went over big time, and Grammy-winner Price, only 30 years old, was mobbed. There were at least three dozen people in this confined space. Price could hardly move from all the handshaking, shoulder slaps and hearty hugs. He is worshipped in the dance community and uses another name on some work = Jacques Le Cont. He’s produced for No Doubt and many others.

Talking about the songs, Price, who also has a very naughty sense of humor, said: “When dance music was young, there was a strong vocal, and the beat was underneath. Now, the vocal is not so prominent. Madonna and I wanted to make a dance album for today, which would satisfy everybody = those who want to really hear her voice and those for whom the driving thump-thump is the thing. I think we’ve succeeded.”

Music scribe Maggie Stein, who also writes under the nom de plume Odyssey Jones, said, “This is hopeful dance music. It has a positive message, in that it’s fun. Just fun. It’s what Madonna needed to do.

All these critics…my my my…how does age affect talent? When some of you get to Madonna’s age will you be doing anything else better other than your usual boring 9-5 desk jobs? I think not. The lady kicks ass. The new album will kick ass. Age, broken ribs have nothing to do with the music. And all these comparisons to other artists? What gives? This is Madonna: She is Madonna. She will put out material that is nothing more than Madonna. I think sometimes some of just forget how to simply enjoy it. Thank god the critics on here are not making music. I would be bored to tears.
We’ll enjoy the material released in Novemeber by Madonna regardless of these null and void negative postings.

Americans have no right to be dissing Kylie Minogue. Outside of the US, Kylie is as big as Madonna…PERIOD. It’s too bad that radio in the US hasn’t picked up Kylie throughout her incredible career, hence why many of you don’t know what your talking about.

Madonna and Kylie are equally my favorite artists. I can’t wait for Confessions! :) SOUNDS HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Madonna for making us all talk about her. All bad publicity is publicity afterall and is nothing compared to the love and fascination she inspire from people. Have you ever been to one of her concerts? She is a living legend and one who never went downhill. Iconic, that’s what she’s telling us from the front cover of Confessions. The rest of the operation is “enough” (crap), she wants us to go back being optimists and positive, she wants to make us sing and dance. Thank-you Madonna.

  93. ok, the hottest woman alive, you better deal with it!

Madonna came out with many other artists such as Cyndi Lauper, Michael Jackson, among others. She’s still here. They’re not. She’s still talkedabout, still provoking. They’re not.

    Enough said

Why do people say that American Life was a political record. The only thing political was the video for American Life, which turned so many people off here in America, we haven’t even been able to see it. They saw the news stories about the video and dismissed it as political dissent. Thats why the album has this negative stigma. The actual song, Amerian Life was social not political commentary. The album is actually a really great piece of work. Lyrically, it contained various subject matter including romantic and biographical, and its sound was like nothing else every before or since. Look, the whole thing is available on itunes, so try listening to it.

  96. Hello Junior? This is Madonna  |   Posted on Oct 3rd, 2005

    from undercover.com:

Madonna announced at Live 8 that the album will be called ‘Confessions On A Dancefloor’. It will be the follow-up to the poorly received 2003 album ‘American Life’.

The timing of the release of the anti-Bush ‘American Life’ was unfortunate as America went to war with Iraq just as the video for the single depicting Madonna’s anti war stance was released.

  97. Mike  |   Posted on Oct 3rd, 2005

Madonna is brilliant and creative. She is the queen of the dancefloor and has been since 1982. She’s mastered it, conquered it time and time again.

I for one cannot wait until the new album comes out.

  98. balfour adam  |   Posted on Oct 3rd, 2005

love her..she has you all fooled. It was made for the select few who can understand how to be a dancing disco glitter whore…anyway santacruz needs you please hit me up … I dedicate to sisters of all ages.

  99. Is this her new look? Folks in my office started a contest to guess Madonna’s new look. You can check out the submitted pictures at http://www.sfmitch.blogspot.com. If you want to create your own, please do and send them to me. I’ll be featuring a couple of new ones each day. You’ll get the idea once you check them out. I think this will be a good album…simple and fun.

Uhh – it’s not an ABBA “rip-off,” it’s called a SAMPLE. Madonna SAMPLED a portion of an ABBA song for this single. People do it all the damn time. People have been copying Madonna for DECADES, so what the hell is the big deal. She can still crank out the albums and give a live performance like NO ONE ELSE. And she’s forty-fucking-seven! Go on, girl!
