Watch Iggy Pop & Josh Homme Get Loose On Kimmel
Iggy Pop just wrote a book. Sort of. As Pitchfork points out, Pop spent three days at his Miami house with writers Jeff Gold and Johan Kugelberg, telling the two of them Stooges stories. The two of them then turned those stories into a new book, entitled Total Chaos, which is coming later this year from Jack White’s new publishing subsidiary Third Man Books. This comes after Pop and Queens Of The Stone Age leader Josh Homme put together the impressive new album Post Pop Depression. Pop and Homme have been touring the album lately, and last night, they were on Jimmy Kimmel Live to perform the album track “Sunday.” It’s not the first time we’ve seen these guys, with this backing band, on late-night TV. But this time, they’re a little looser after spending time on the road, and the band members all have matching shiny red dinner jackets, a nice touch. It’s a wizened, badass performance, and you can watch it below.
Post Pop Depression is out now on Loma Vista. Total Chaos will arrive sometime this year.
