Preoccupations – “Degraded” Video
Preoccupations have shared a video for “Degraded,” the second single from the Calgary band’s first release since changing their name from Viet Cong. The clip, which was directed by Valentina Tapia, is a disorienting mess of glitchy computer art that’s described as “an encounter with the primordial ruins of a post-human landscape, where sentient sculptural artifacts attempt to reassemble themselves piece by piece,” as “unidentified abstracted organisms carry on and thrive in a terrain that’s begun to settle back into itself, as rendered in scenes of mixed digital and painted 2D and 3D animation.” Watch below.
