Lower Dens – “Real Thing” Video
Lower Dens’ most recent LP, Escape From Evil, came out back in 2015, and during its rollout we saw a few excellent videos to accompany tracks from the album. Jana Hunter performed “Sucker’s Shangri-La” in a karaoke bar, and before that we saw Hunter play a sinister roll in the cinematic “To Die In L.A.” video. Today, Lower Dens released a new song along with an excellent ’80s-inspired soft-focus clip directed by Cody Critcheloe (aka SSION). Hunter collaborated with Arthur Bates and Ariel Rechtshaid on the track, which was inspired by an advice column in Oui magazine as per Hunter’s interview with NPR. Lower Dens are currently working on a new album; check out “Real Thing” below.
