Prince left behind a massive archive of unreleased recordings at his Paisley Park estate following his death earlier this year, and it looks like streaming services are competing to acquire the exclusive rights to it. TMZ reports that Jay Z flew out Prince's sister Tyka Nelson and her husband Maurice Phillips to put in a bid of around $40 million for the collection, presumably with intentions to make the music a TIDAL exclusive. Nelson must get the signatures of the rest of Prince's family and the trust that is managing his estate before the deal could go through, and TMZ says that "there are some major players in the game," so there's a chance Jay's offer may not be enough.
