Haim’s “More Organic” Sophomore LP Coming Next Summer
It’s been a while since the release of Haim’s debut album, Days Are Gone, but the trio is finally ready to put out a follow-up next summer, and we’re anticipating what they’ve come up with. In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, the HAIM sisters say that they recorded the album (which they describe as more “raw, organic”) primarily by themselves, with the only outside influences being Ariel Rechtshaid and Rostam Batmanglij. “There’s a lot of cooks in the kitchen anyway,” Alana Haim told EW. “There’s three perfectionists in our band, and to add anymore people would be too much of a party.”
“We write everything, we play everything, and we help produce everything,” Danielle Haim added. “These things take time, and we refuse to put out anything we’re not 100 percent in love with.”
The band cancelled the rest of their European tour this summer to finish working on the new album, and debuted two new songs live over the last year: “Little Of Your Love” and “Nothing’s Wrong.”
So there we go! It’s looking like a summer release for Haim LP2.
