U2 are releasing a new version of The Joshua Tree track “Red Hill Mining Town” as part of the album’s big 30th anniversary extravaganza. The new mix by producer Steve Lillywhite features re-recorded vocals from Bono and emphasizes the brass band backing courtesy of the Arklow Shipping Silver Band. The updated single will be out on a 12″ picture disc on Record Store Day, and Irish DJ Dave Fanning premiered it on his RTÉ show today.
