Frankie Cosmos – “Fish Bowl” (Kero Kero Bonito Cover)
Kero Kero Bonito released their infectious debut LP Bonito Generation last year, and today the London trio have dropped a remix of album cut “Fish Bowl” courtesy of Brooklyn indie-popper Frankie Cosmos. Although it’s billed as a remix, Greta Kline basically turns the track into a Frankie Cosmos song, adding in her own vocals and swapping out the original’s kawaii synths for some twee guitar. Either way, it’s great, and you can can hear it below.
Here’s what Frankie Cosmos’ Greta Kline had to say about the remix:
Kero Kero Bonito is one of exceedingly few bands that all four of us in Frankie Cosmos love and admire with an equal fervor and, to be honest, we wanted to cover ‘Fish Bowl’ even before they asked us to be a part of this project. One of the absolute best parts of doing what we do is forming friendships with likeminded artists around the world, and occasionally getting the opportunity to collaborate with them. We had a blast arranging and recording this song.
Kero Kero Bonito are planning to release a new remix every week this month.
