Cat Power also did one of those TIAA-CREF commercials where a bunch of different artists did versions of “Somewhere.” They used to have it on the TIAA-CREF site somewhere but they only have the currently running commercials now.

Also, notice that there are the “bars” in almost every single scene. My favorite is the orange juice on the stewardess’ tray.

cat power’s version of “somewhere” for tiaa-cref is also great. the commercial is up on the ad agency’s website: http://www.modernista.com if you go to the tiaa-cref section and click on tv, it’s the 7th out of 12.
next up for her? a cover of j timb’s “i’m loving it”? gross.

I just saw a commercial that has a cover of Cat Stevens’ “How Can I Tell You” that I’m sure must be by Cat Power. Problem is I can’t find a reference to it anywhere. Has anyone else seen it? I feel like I’m taking crazy pills…
