So glad there’s still buzz over Brit electro-rocker Tom Vek. We Have Sound is definitely the best album of 2005 recorded in Tom Vek’s parents’ garage. In his awesome video for “C-C (You Set The Fire In Me),” Tom’s apparently lost the rest of his marching band, but gets assistance from two lil’ woodland creatures. Watch it here.

According to Billboard, this is the song Tom performs at the Bait Shop in an O.C. episode airing next month.

UPDATE: Speaking of not-so-new Tom Vek, So Much Silence has MP3s of his KCRW performance (beware shitty bitrate).

Vek’s going on the OC? I don’t know how to feel about that. It kinda stinks when a significant amount of the music you like is featured in the Bait Shop. Makes me feel like a big ninny. :)

  4. It must be be new for the mtvU network or maybe network television as opposed to the web.

  5. Yeah, MTVu says it’s some fuckin’ exclusive premiere.

I love his record but this video makes him look like an asshole anyway.

  6. Tom Vek *would* be on the OC.

  7. mtvu version = not working for me.

  8. Yeah, you need Explorer for MTVU’s lame-ass interface.

I do enjoy the similarity between this video and The Boy Least Likely To’s one for “Be Gentle With Me”, though…

That’s still a great video even though I watched it over and over again in November. Spread the Vek Love.

  11. MTVU def. has thier collective head up their big ass. No Mac support. Brilliant. I would guess MTVU doesn’t work with Linux either!
