You see this a lot for teen stars, but 1966 celebrity yearbooks are a rarity on the auction site. I love how the description says, “It has 225 pages of great text and photos” as if the winning bidder is going to read the whole thing. (Via Boing Boing.)

    Denzil E. Walden, 81, of Chula Vista died Sunday. He was born in San Diego and was retired from the Marine Corps. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars.

    Survivors include his daughter, Kathy Popejoy of Campbell; sons, Denzil Walden Jr. of La Mesa and John Walden of San Diego; brothers, Milford Walden of Grants Pass, Ore., and Delbert Walden of Chula Vista; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

    Viewing: 4 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, Community Mortuary, 855 Broadway, Chula Vista.

    Services: 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Glen Abbey Memorial Park, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita.

    Donations: San Diego Rescue Mission, 1150 J Street, San Diego, CA 92101.

    Only $280 – ? Shucks, I’ve got one of those books – - – Perfect shape – - – thought it would draw a lot more. It presently belongs to the Hoover Alumni Association.
