Pitchfork is putting together a little party this summer. Maybe you heard. Well eMusic is getting in on the act, offering 24 free MP3s of Pfork Fest artists (including Art Brut, Danielson, The National, Destroyer, Devendra, Jens Lekman and other blogger faves). Better still: advance tracks from Yo La Tengo and The Mountain Goats! Grab ‘em here. Gotta admit, that’s a pretty nasty lineup. Who are you pumped for? Silver Jews, Man Man, Os Mutantes?! That’s worth the price of admission right there.

Man Man tears it down every time. Diplo should be fun. Hearin’ ya on the Os Mutantes. But please — will Art Brut go back to the UK for a bit? Don’t get me wrong, I love ‘em. But how many f’in times can you play a city with the same material?? Oh, and The National. That’ll be pretty awesome too.
How does Art Brut fair in a more open venue? I saw them in a church basment (First Unitarian in Philly) and it was great, but I can;t imagine they translate well to an open area…

Shoudn’t “Free” be in quotes? Dontcha have to enter your credit card to download that shit? Not that I’m saying they’ll make you pay for the comp, but it’s probably one of those Porny-type deals where they’ll automatically start billing you later if you don’t opt out.
But then again, I dunno. I haven’t gone beyond the “enter your credit card info” page.
actually, it looks like if you just click the individual tracks you won’t have to enter any CC info – you can just get ‘em all one by one.

Cool, I didn’t follow that first Pfork link, just the emusic link toward the end. Did everyone notice that the Mountain Goats track and YLT track are both pre-release exlcusives?

My life’s been bland. I’ve basically been doing nothing to speak of, but what can I say? Not that it matters. Eh. Such is life.
