This Saturday is Village Voice’s annual Siren Festival, where thousands of hipsters descend upon Coney Island for indie rock and Nathan’s. We’re getting psyched, so we’ve asked three Stereogum-approved bands to participate in our stupid new feature, Inside The Rockers Studio. (Anyone wanna make an ITRS logo for us? E-mail me.)

I’m sorry, but that line-up is one of the most middle-of-the-road travesties in a long time. YAWN!

and i thought the line-up couldn’t get any worse from last year. some nice bands, but nothing as spectacular as 2004 and 2003.

I saw Man Man opening for the Fiery Furnaces…now I want to follow them around the country in a van as if they are the Grateful Dead (my van will be less psychedelic and more hobo though). They are a fuckin’ spectacle…I’m getting there early just for them.
