Charlie Kaufman’s Synecdoche, New York opens next Friday (10/24). Its punny title will be more difficult for people to pronounce than Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, Adaptation, or Being John Malkovich, but we’re more concerned with its soundtrack, which includes “Little Person,” a song written by Jon Brion and sung by jazz vocalist Deanne Storey. You can listen to it at the Synecdoche Facebook page (scroll and look for the streaming interface thing). It’s a piano-based lounge tune about everyday people, not midgets. If you want, you can watch the trailer, where the song also appears.
The Synecdoche, New York soundtrack is out digitally 10/21 via Lakeshore. Info about a physical release soon.

Wow. It’s totally gorgeous. Not that I’m surprised….
I love news like this. Where I honestly don’t know what to be more excited for. This awesome movie, or this awesome song
the movie is amazing, saw it at Austin Film Festival, even got to meet and get a photo with Kaufman. Didn’t even know Jon did the music until the opening credits, which made the even so much more amazing, as I am a die hard Brion fan…bought the soundtrack a few days later.
