Serena-Maneesh started their tour proper last night in L.A., after doing five shows for SXSW. Their album, S-M 2: Abyss In B Minor is out Stateside today, and after a five-year wait, it’s good to see (and hear) them back. Photographer Andrew Youssef says Medicine guitarist Brad Laner played with Serena-Maneesh for a few songs, and Serena guitarist Emil Nikolaisen said Medicine was a huge influence on the band (you can definitely hear it). Tour mates the Depreciation Guild and locals Seaspin opened the show for a Very Shoegazey Evening all around.

  1. Shoegaze will live never die.

  2. This show definitely took place at Troubadour, not Spaceland.

  3. shoegaze died along time ago and should stay that way
