This is pretty likable country-rock. Dando’s vocals are a little laconic for my tastes, but the band is playing with some guts, so that sort of makes up for it. I’m not sure there’s a single among these three that really stands out, but I’d like to think there is an audience for this music.
i can’t wait to hear the songs in better quality
Wow, my hometown as the title of a Lemonheads song. That’s kind of frightening.
err…Three tracks or four?
Good call, Bob… there is a 4th track streaming on the site.
I believe I read J. Mascis is playing lead guitar on “No Backbone.” Def. sounds like him.
some new pics of him and ‘my drug buddy’ acoustic over here – http://www.aolmusicindie.com/2006/08/08/the-lemonheads-visit-the-interface/
w00t!
Totally OT, but I’m curious: Is it just my browser or has Pitchfork really not posted any new reviews in a week? What’s going on over there?
The new Lemonheads LP could be the best thing to happen to music in 2006, period.
