We really dig La Blogotheque‘s Concerts A Emporter series, in which indie rock bands deliver stripped-down (or acappella!) versions of their songs while walking through the streets of Paris. The latest installment features Canada’s Islands playing with dogs, stopping cars, and climbing taxis, while performing “Volcanoes” and “Don’t Call Me Whitney, Bobby.” Of course Islands have some experience with take-away shows. Here’s “Volcanoes”…

  1. You wouldn’t happen to know if there is just an mp3 version of the recordings would you?

  2. We could extract it for you… But I’m not sure the sound is that good (they were moving a LOT, and I only had one mic)

the chick playing the tambourine kind of ruins it for me.

  5. If you’ve got the time to extract it, it would be very appreciated. However, don’t feel obligated to go through that just because I wanted it. I guess what I’m trying to say is, I would really like to have it, but there will be no hard feelings if you can’t find the time.

    Thanks!
