Sweet Apple’s made up of two members of Cobra Verde and two members of Witch. J Mascis is from the latter band, and though he plays drums here as he does for Witch, he also contributes guitar and vocals, thankfully. As this video for “Do You Remember” shows, the members of Sweet Apple don’t contribute much in the way of tennis skills or acting chops, but “Do You Remember” is oversized rock that deserves a video with a sense of humor. Of course, one more tennis-featuring music video, and we’ll have to call it a trend. But Mascis has been doing sports in videos since before Vampire Weekend was born.

this is really funny, especially the tennis rackets in the guitar cases and them getting beaned with balls at the end. they look like they cant play a lick of tennis, though. makes me want to see them play, just not tennis.
Love it! espec the end. totally love the song too.
I thought this was going to be a cover of the Phil Collins song. Crushed.
You’re not going to miss J Mascis in a snow storm.
This song rocks. I hope they tour.
this song comes totally out of left field, damn. a friend told me there was this sweet apple clip that references sunn o))) — twice! coolest thing ive seen/heard in a year, song totally rocks and video obliterates vampire weekend.
Dave Sweetapple is a total douche.
