Two fundamental rules for Twitter: First, remember that anyone can read your Tweets (unless you’ve made them private). And lastly, don’t criticize Ice-T’s acting skills. That’s pretty much it. Aimee Mann learned these rules the hard way after she Tweeted this:

The “hot” modifier seems especially mean and gratuitous. Mann spent her next few Tweets backpedaling, concluding with, “He’s out there doing his job. He doesn’t need any heckling from the peanut gallery. So, I am sorry, Mr. T! You get out there and DO IT!” In the original Tweet, Mann was likely referring to a late-night episode of Law and Order: SVU, since it’s on TV at any given hour, on one network or another. Ice-T’s been on the show since 2000, but he also put in pretty good performances in New Jack City and (especially) Tank Girl.

And why I never read Stereogum comments.
Best Law & Order Ice-T line of all time, something to the effect of: “They’re on the down-low. They have sex with men but don’t think they’re gay….Don’t look at me, I just know about it.” I assume the same applies for the hot bowl of dicks. He just knows about it.
OMG I love this blog-post. Celebrities feuding is the best part of twitter. I’ve seen classic Courtney love rants where she goes off and then immediately realizes what she just wrote and deletes ASAP, LOL!! LOVE IT!!
I usually say “bag,” but “hot bowl” will suffice, as long as he means the bowl is, like, warmed up in the microwave beforehand. Sounds like the right way to do edamame.

Coincidentally, I just wrote a post on my music blog about Aimee Mann (www.respectisdue.com). I’ve not been a fan of her more recent stuff, but Bachelor No. 2 is spectacular, and of course who can forget her well-played bit role in The Big Lebowski.
This is too awesome for words. I love when random celebrities go at it like this. I wasn’t much for her last record but the forgotten arm still gets a lot of attention.
And then she calls him “Mr. T” in the apology tweet. Girl just can’t get it right.

Doesn’t matter she doesn’t owe him an apology…why is the guy who wrote “Cop Killer” playing a cop? SELLOUT! It’s a terrible show and he’s a terrible actor like everyone else on it.
I don’t think it’s a terrible show, but the opening and theme song just really turn me off.
It’s a great show. You know, if you like to learn about sexually-based offenses, which are considered especially heinous. And Richard Belzer.
