How To Destroy Angels - "A Drowning"

We were introduced to Trent Reznor and wife Mariqueen Maandig’s How To Destroy Angels via the birth of a website and a 40-second clip of Maandig playing a Korg MS-20. Now we have a full-on song, “A Drowning,” and as the above press photos suggests, Maandig is again the focus. It’s seven minutes, icy, slinky, was produced by Alan Moulder, and may remind you of ’90s trip-hop. Take a listen at P4K. Look for a self-titled debut EP this summer.

  1. About 3 minutes too long?

  2. named after the Coil song? or something else?

  3. she’s gorgeous. i can understand the clever marketing scheme of focusing on her.

  4. Wow, I am vastly underwhelmed by her vocals. Maybe it doesn’t help that it still sounds enough like NIN for me to automatically think how much better it would sound with Trent singing.

  5. Late for the party. The mp3 isn’t streaming anymore.
