There are some parts of this ablum that I love and some I wish they hadn’t butchered up. Marilyn Manson’s adaptation of “This is Halloween” was fantastic and really captured the essence of the film. He really showed off his many voices and never really was a fan of Manson’s hardcore stuff, but he had me convinced with this song. I also really enjoyed Fiona Apple’s “Sally’s Song” and I thought Fall Out Boy’s version of “What’s This?” was okay. However, I expected a lot more from Panic! at the Disco. Don’t get me wrong because I really am a die hard Panic! fan, but their version of “This is Halloween” seemed a little monotone and wasn’t exciting enough to get my full attention. Now don’t get all excited and jump on me for not absolutely loving Fall Out Boy’s and Panic!’s performance.

Seriously, I think that this song is really well done. I liked their first album too. I’ve read (in other forums) how people don’t like this song because it’s not poppy and more sleepy than their other songs. I think that they had to alter their style for this song, and it worked. I mean, do you really think that a really poppy tune is going to suit this song?
