We get tired of the UK press’s constant speculation on a Think Tank followup, but this time it’s as official as it’s gonna get: NME reports Damon Albarn has confirmed a full on, Graham Coxon-including studio session is slated for 2009. It’s OK to get excited.

WOW! What a couple weeks! First, the 15 year Chinese Democracy sees the light of day and now this. If a new Blur album doesn’t turn the economy around, I’m not sure what will. Very exciting news!

FINALLY. I’ve been looking forward to this for so long. Glad to see Blur is coming back with Graham. Still looking forward to his next solo album as well.

Not sure if I believe it yet but if it is true I am gonna be so happy.

  5. This makes me almost unreasonably happy. Now, if only Oasis would make a formal announcement that they will STOP going into the studio, then my day will be made.

  6. This would make me so incredibly happy. They are still my very favorite band after all this time and would love to hear from them again. I won’t hold my breath but this is the most promising thing in years.

Think Tank was their last album, therefore a new one would be the follow up. Therefore, the mention. Therefore, Therefore, Therefore.

Think Tank was pretty awesome. Different, but pretty good!
