this new stuff sounds more similar to the Ugly Casanova album (than past MM). if you don’t have that, i recommend it HIGHLY. took a while to “take” but once it did… addicted!
I love the Ugly Casanova album.
I’ve also heard the track “bukowski” from this album, and it’s got some of the finest use of banjo in indie-rock that I’ve heard. I’m going to see them in Pomona next weekend. I’ve been listening to them for six years and I’ve yet to see them live.

I’ve been listening to the mouse since their first ep and have loved it all. But in listening to the entire new album for the past few weeks, I say this, THIS is the stuff legends of indie rock are made of.
