The kids in NYC’s Diamond Nights are hard at work at the follow-up to their full-length debut Popsicle, and we have here a peek at the recording sessions to the as-yet untitled record. The track’s got more slink and is a little less on the Cheap Trick tip than was, say, “Destination Diamonds,” but thankfully the band’s still spearheading the next coming of the ’70s AOR heyday.

Enjoy.

  1. One of the worst live shows I’ve seen was Diamond Nights at CMJ last year. It was pretty dire. If I wanted to listen to Cheap Trick, I’d…umm…oh yeah, listen to Cheap Trick. I just really don’t understand the appeal of band’s reaching back to the past if they don’t add anything compelling or unique.
