Lo and behold, Billy Corgan found time apart from his 20th anniversary staged exorcisms to make a video. It’s for “G.L.O.W,” which still isn’t sung by the Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling. There are some fairly impressive get ups, though (see Billy’s Sunn O)))/Lawrence Of Arabia/Jawa threads, etc.), plus flashing lights and smeary cupcakes. Remember, “G.L.O.W.” is the first song ever recorded exclusively for Guitar Hero, so while you watch, no need to worry about pretending Smashing Pumpkins are still a real band.
Also, so you know, Corgan can be calm in his live rambling, when he’s in San Diego.

I dig the video.
I still dig the band. A lot.
Did anyone get a vibe that this video was yet another sequel to an older one??? Bullet with Butterfly Wings???
boring.
boring + contrived
Good stuff, much better than the “tarantula” video from last year… i like the feel of this song/vid, its darker like some of their earlier videos and uses some pretty cool imagery. hopefully this is a sign of good things to come for billy & co.
good one! thanks for the laugh.
pretty good. still not enough to convince me or anyone else that this “band” is “back”
Perhaps if I heckle, Billy Corgan will offer me my 3:22 back?
the worst thing i can say about this song is that it sounds like The Billy Corgan Official Guitar Hero Track.
This band was dead. Now they’re not reborn, they’re zombies.
“One more trip through hell” is what all the fans were saying during this last tour, too. ZING!
Nice of them to hire D’Arcy again as a dancer for this video though.
Dude…that’s not even the lyric.
Billy should just be thankful that “The End is the Beginning is the End” is getting mad hits lately via the original online trailer for “The Watchmen”.
People who bitch that the new Pumpkins is “contrived”… you know, so was the old Pumpkins. A band can be “contrived” AND good at the same time. They’re not mutually exclusive.
Honestly, I wish there was more contrivance in bands now. Nobody’s doing drama or showing signs of thought these days. All this post-indie feel-good bounce stuff is starting to finally get old.
I still laugh that that the people who bitch about the Smashing Pumpkins reunion only has two members are the same people who bitch that “their last good album was Siamese Dream”… which, you know, only had those two members actually playing on it.
Testify!
I reallly love it. Video is awesome in so many ways. I think it’s great. I can not wait for a new record from The Smashing Pumpkins.
