Big week for former American Idol contestants. First Kelly Clarkson comes out and ups her cool by nabbing Mike Watt for her next record, and then Clay comes out … well, more like was outed by Rosie O’Donnell on The View. This during Rosie’s botched defense of Gayken from Ripa’s diss (debate as to whether it was germophobic or the-other-phobic). There’s really been no escaping this story this week. They even joked about it as Clay got all fabulous on last night’s American Music Awards!
Clay gets slammed by Ripa, gets exposed by Rosie, and gets even on the AMAs. But the real victim in all of this? Blog readers!

What the hell is going on here? Being in the UK I had managed to escape this so is crazy. Are Americans really this crazy to make this into a news story?
