The list of luminaries joining Jerry Lee Lewis on his latest release Last Man Standing is twenty-two deep and pretty fucking impressive, including Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Don Henley, and Willie Nelson. On the album, Jerry’s got Jimmy Page guesting on the IV classic “Rock And Roll”; at his recent performance in the Today studio, he had some awkward banter with Matt Lauer, a fairly well-preserved voice, piano chops to spare, and some adorably senile mumbling on the way out.

  1. Phew, awkward, than kinda sad, but eventually sorta hypnotic.

Say, on another subject, did Pink Floyd record a Christmas album called Candy Canes at the Gates of Dawn? Did Kevin Federline just recently release a CD called Christmas with O.J.?

Find out on Bullshit or Not!:

  2. The album version is shockingly good with Page tearin’ it up. You can hear it in its entirety on his agent’s website at http://aimrocks.com (it starts up as soon as you hit enter). I searched for video when I heard it but now I wish I hadn’t seen this. Ah well. Without it, our recent live Cure mashup “Whole Lotta Lovecats” would be the coolest Zep cover of the year. CoverMeBadd.com Just sayin’.
