The latest leak from M.I.A.’s imminent/\/\/\Y/\ album is “Teqkilla,” produced by Rusko, MIA, Switch and John Hill. In the juicy track she mentions many alcohol brands: Johnny Walker, Jack Daniels, Captain Morgan, etc., over childlike chanting and the sounds of ice tincking in glass. Of those brands, one has a special significance: “When I met Seagrams / Sent Chivas down my spine.” Note Chivas is owned by Seagrams, the beverage company her fiance Benjamin Brewer’s family purchased last century. She also mentions Sparks, once the official open-bar threat of Brooklyn.

is it just me or are the synth parts wayyy too loud?
meh.
Rusko is starting to redeem himself. First decent track since the fabriclive37 mix
Lynn Hirschberg should totally review this track.
Her music was good at first…now she is just trying too hard to push that “I’m original” angle which is not working anymore. I’d say it sounds like a failed R&B song of a wanna be Crystal Castles group.
worst song on the album by far….and it really is just terrible…just terrible…and yes synth parts are way too loud
i caant hear itt! >.<
You can hear it on myspace.com/hardfest
The track is a great return to form, just let it get through to you
