They need to cut out the middle man and just start making music straight for beer commercials.
Generally their Electronic Battle Weapon series hasn’t just been an outlet for “more experimental” tracks; it’s been a place for pre- or test-releases of tracks that end up on the next album, like EBW 4 (i think) turned out to be “It Doesn’t Matter” b/w “Don’t Stop the Rock,” the ravey highlight of “Dig Your Own Hole.” But it was sent around months before the album was released. I think the majority of the Battle Weapons have ended up on actual releases in fact. …OMG is that a story about John Mayer? Gotta go!
good stuff, if hardly as groundbreaking as the underground stuff coming out of europe. still, nice to see some techno turning up on the ‘gum…
