New York’s Apache Beat are playing this weekend’s Siren Festival. “Another Day” is a sample of what they’ll bring to the show, and to their upcoming album Last Chants. You’ll have to listen to all of the song to hear the change, but the guitars here transform from a Talking Heads-like naïve music box lead line to a noisy Robert Fripp “Heroes” build at the end. References to others aside, the way it moves from slinky to noisy is a nice surprise. Also slinky is their remix of Neon Indian’s “Psychic Chasms.”

I’m still waiting to hear the one track that substantiates the hype these guys get. I’m sure all very very nice people, but I just haven’t heard it yet. The guitar in this reminds my of ‘Lazyitis’ by the Happy Mondays. I’m gonna go listen to that instead.
This track is crazy awesome. Exotic, layered and beautiful. Stands out from other things we’ve been hearing from Brooklyn. Looking forward to checking out the rest of the album.
Thanks for the download. Great tune. Seriously digging on the transitions and the Eno-esque / Kraut vibe.
Happy Mondays not so good, this song very good. Thumbs up.
Some deep shit here, nice Far East, psych leanings. That outro is fierce. A pleasant surprise, Go Apaches.
Great track and fab set at the Siren Fest.
Groovy bongo drums / psych guitars. Nice song.
Ah very nice, very nice
When that end section slams in it’s ecstatic!
yeah, the guitar melody in that end section kind of rules
The stars are aligned in this song. Interesting drum and bass and great attention to detail in the instrumental outro. This is right on point.
Saw Mike Dosantos play with The Homosexuals a few times. Killer bass player!
the opening instrumental passage knocks my socks off
