A few days after bringing some sundazed pop romance to the P4K stage in Chicago, Girls’ Chris Owens is has a bit of his inner world revealed in this new two-part interview with Travis Matthews, the director of I Want Your Love, an “independent film with hardcore gay sexual content.” (ThisĀ NSFW site suggests as much.) Girls are soundtracking the movie, and here Travis interviews Chris in his room, talking about personal and sexual issues, influences of all sorts, the upcoming Girls album, etc. It’s in two parts, here and here.

But also there is this bedsit performance of the new tune “Oh My Love,” which he says is a little bit Dwight Yoakam, and a little Taylor Swift. Typical indie influences. Check it:

  1. i always thought it was weird that p4k tried to say the line in lust for life about wishing he had a boyfriend was actually written from the perspective of a girl when he’s not straight.

  2. He’s got a much more subtle touch on the guitar than I thought he would. Pretty song.

  3. He is incredibly awkward on camera, but great song nonetheless

  4. so adorable, im in love.

  5. Overrated and border line annoying. Still can’t believe they got away with naming a song Lust for Life. Simply unacceptable.
