I am unfortunately the bearer of bad news for everyone?
The organizers have decided on not having any outside vending at the festival this year. There will be food vending, band merch, and Coachella gear but no other vending booths like previous years.
Every weekend festival should have outside vending! So Indiophiles, which vendor you gonna miss the most? The tie-dye clothiers? The toe ring distributors? No wait, the hackey-sack men? Where will we go if we lose our hackey sack?!

I assumed they meant they won’t have third party vending, as opposed to outside-of-the-venue vending, which I think they don’t really police. Not sure, though.
yerah that’s it. they’re not having small business sell their wears in the festival ths: just food, band shirts and coachella merch. no toomuchmetal gear. no crafty art stuff anymore
What’s with the Coachella bashing on Stereogum? It’s a great event with amazing music. Isn’t that what Stereogum is all about? It seems like you have nothing but negative things to say about it.

I, for one, cant wait for the show. Lupe Fiasco’s set is going to boil. I heard he’s going to have all of the guest musicians from his album with him, including Jill Scott and Matthew Santos. If you havnt heard Jill Scott’s solo stuff, you should, its fantastic. Matthew’s stuff is great too.
