Friendly Fires’ new video for “Skeleton Boy” is not Abe Vigoda’s video for “Skeleton,” but you wouldn’t be blamed or looked upon badly for finding them visually similar. The last time we saw Friendly Fires, they were stripped-down in the Decomposed studio; here, the English trio’s dressed in black tights and eventually transform into skeletons. A technical tidbit mentioned by drummer Jack Savidge:
Millions of polystyrene balls flew around forcing their way into our mouths, ears, sinuses and navels … The little blighters were still emerging from our bodies some weeks after the shoot.
Watch the little blighters in action:
Friendly Fires is out via XL.

This version is slightly different from the album version. Where can I find it?
From the band….
We gave our new single, Skeleton Boy, its exclusive first spin during the takeover. Its a re-recorded version that we did with Paul Epworth with more synths and bounce than the album version. If you hate us for changing it from the album version, we don’t really care that much- listen to whichever one you like best. Or both; its not a contest. The single comes out as a 12″ and a download on 2nd March, but we will be selling it as an extremely limited and remarkably desirable etched one-sided 7″ on the NME Tour. Fill your boots, future eBay millionaires!
Where i can’t find album ?
How TRITE. Just like that lame Architecture in Helsinki video. I’m so sick of bands doing this kind of video.
That was actually the coolest video I’ve seen in a long time. I usually hate music videos because they always have some weird concept and imagery that ruins the song for me. But this was simple and relevent, energetic, just entertaining enough, and best of all it wasn’t desperately trying to be anything more than it is.
