If you haven’t heard Animal Collective’s newest and are curious about the hubbub, you can stream the album in its entirety at Domino’s Australian MySpace, mate.

That’s great news. They have all this incredibly positive press for the new album, and the only legal way to hear it is to buy the vinyl. The vinyl is a nice touch, but I’d like to hear the album in whole now and I don’t use bittorrent.

i finally sat down and listened to it all thru this morning and it isnt bad as i expected. its not terrible at all. but ive already heard two other albums from this year that are better – dan auerbach’s and m. ward’s.

  4. I tried to listen to this, but only got 1.5 songs into it. Can’t do it…too noisy.

Your opinion is perfectly valid. Except for the part where you stopped HALFWAY THROUGH ‘MY GIRLS’. Do you regularly pull out halfway through sex as well?

  5. you guys are all tools. this album is freaking awesome

  6. This album owns. I agree with MF doom re: tools

fuckin’ my girls, summertime clothes, bluish, and brother sport. damn. what a great record to kick off a great year for music hopefully.

  8. i wasn’t huge fan of AC, but last year’s p4k fest totally changed me. Sung Tongs has been my favorite, but new one beat that. Just listen with good headphone, you can die

  9. You know, I think I’m just going to blind-buy this one. I’ve heard no Animal Collective ever, and my local record store is offering it for 6.99 on Tuesday.

  10. looked on ebay/craigslist, etc to get tickets to their upcoming soldout bowery show. average price was $150 per ticket. holy shit, i never paid that much to see anyone before, including radiohead. are they giving out free drugs upon admittance?
