A little over a year ago, Jere alerted me to an eBay auction of actual rocks from Avril Lavigne’s hometown of Napanee, Ontario. I sent the link to my coworkers as a joke, but then they started taking up a collection so I could buy them and display them in the office. We won. They cost $1.50.
The rocks came with a copy of the Napanee Beaver, Avril’s hometown paper. I was even interviewed by The Ottawa Sun about my wise purchase.
Obviously we had no choice but to turn the office into an Avril Lavigne museum.
Now I’m saving up for grass from Deborah Gibson’s lawn.

Avril sure doesnt have many fans in napanee. her attitude towards ppl is that she is better than everyone else. always has been even in high school.
if you’re ever in napanee & wanted to say, ” hi” you would be met with .. ” F_ _ k you & a middle finger. she has always been this way. napanee ppl know what she is really like. sad for someone who thinks she is a star.
i remember when avril was in napanee & was shopping @ walmart. she was approached by a kid who has down syndrome for an autograph. she hurried away from the child holloring after him..” i’m not supposed to talk to ppl like you & left him emotionally hurt.
many of my friends also have attended high school with her. she sure left a bad reputation here in napanee for us to remember her by. a cab driver i know has had to take her many times to the hospital emergency for drug & alcohol over doses when she lived here. wow! what a legacy. kids, don’t let her be your example. we in napanee know the real person. you only know her by her music. think for yourselves & be who you are as a person.
