This one comes from Chicago post-jazz/rock outfit The Sea And Cake‘s seventh full length, still a few months from release. “Exact To Me” has busy bass intersecting with palm-muted guitars, while Sam Prekop’s breathy coo is in the same subtle shape as last we heard it. The staccato groove shifts for the bridge, but it’s mostly an exercise is quick riffing and jazzy chord movement.
