Yes, we’re still in love with Friend Opportunity, even though we were left wanting more from Deerhoof’s set at the PLUG Awards. Here, the SF trio take one camera, an apartment staircase, a kiddie drum set (sans sticks), and a fresh Satomi vocal for a lo-fi take on the propulsive chop pop of “The Perfect Me.” And what is that giant, pocked leaf Satomi’s brandishing?
