The Sun describes Britney’s controversial new video:
Britney throws a glass against a mirror, then climbs into a bath. She looks at her hands, sees her wrists are cut, slips under the water and passes out. Moments later she’s running down a white tunnel towards a bright light.
Brit Brit had considered cutting the scene. Of course, none of her decisions last more than a few hours, so it’s back in.
Parents are calling the move irresponsible and completely stupid. And SEXY!

The best part of the video is when Britney is unconscious on a stretcher and some guy is waiting outside the ambulance for an autograph. Also when Stephen Dorff throws an In Touch magazine at the paparazzi. And when Brit Brit takes a bath … obvs.

i see that britney is following madonna’s beliefs, just like everything the pop queen does.. according to kabbalah, at the last stage, you can actually kill yourself, get rid of all the sins you have.. she first kills herself, then at the end shows that she didn’t really do it; meaning tht she can do it whenever she wants.. also, with the baby born as soon as she died, she shows that she beliefs in reencarnation just like madonna..
It isnt a suicide in the video… if you watch it closley as she falls into the bath tub there is a small round circle of what apears to be blood there her head was. She touched her head with her hand transfering the blood from the back of her head to her hand. I dont know how she got blood on her head, but if you watch closley you can see it on the tub ledge. It has nothing to do with the braclet. If you watch the braclet it stays a braclet thru the whole video.. never turns into blood.
Okay, I saw the video and I liked it. This is my view on it.
Britney was having problems with her bf….he was somehow driftng away and she was feeling lonely. The paparazzi made it worse by continuing to follow them during those troubled times. In the process, Britney’s hair got caught and hit her head in one of the cameras. The couple headed on inside the hotel and got into a heated argument…I felt that it was one of many of their arguments. The bf tries to appologize, but Britney’s had enough. They separate and both are shown completely beaten down. Britney gets in the tub and suddenly feels pain in the back of her neck..she notices the blood and collapses. Shown her running into the light…I guess she was feeling tired and ready to let go. Saw herself dying and being reborn again. Her running away was my indication that she is running away from the light. Turned out that she was not ready yet. Wakes up like it was just a dream. Realized that there’s more to life and maybe it’s just time to move on….smiles at life.
Pretty long observation, but that’s what I got from it. I liked it very much!

I dont think the video is about suicide. Britney touches the back of her head and sees the blood on her hand then when she goes under the water you see a trail of blood. Something has hit her in the back of the head. Obviously something has hit her in the head. Plus she shows with her death a baby is born. How can you possibly think suicide. Maybe some people should pay better attention before they give their comments.
britney spear’s is definetly talentless when it comes to her singing. she is a great dancer though. i or anyone could honestly be as hot as her if we were selling off our name and had lots of money to spend on personal trainers, make-up, hairdressers, etc. although i have all these opinions on her, i will still go watch one of her shows and buy her records. she’s got catchy tunes and puts on a kick ass show. that’s what we all really want to see anyway right? let’s not kid ourselves!

Here is the deal. The reason that the video has everyone wondering whether or not Britney is commiting suicide is because that is how she intended it to be. She and her producers are desperate for attention because that is how she makes her money. Clearly, they anticipated all of the talk and controversy about the video which makes her actions even worse. In a couple of weeks, she will claim that the video does not have any type of suicidal references, even though she does slip into the water which could be her attempt at suicide since she clearly does not cut her wrists. The plain and simple fact is that the video was designed in a very specific way to get people to talk about it and that is exactly what everyone is doing. “Is it suicide or isn’t it?” She will get so much publicity from this video not only because of the “suicide” or no suicide but because she is naked. There is nothing deep or artistic about this video. It is simply another one of her lame attempts to promote herself as a sex symbol, to sell records and to get people to talk about her. It appears as though it is working.
I am sort of disappointed that Britney canned the whole suicide idea for her everytime video. Britney should be allowed to express her ideas and thoughts through her videos any way she likes, because that’s truly what makes her an “artist.” I just think it’s terrible that she has to conform to what society expects from her. And also to hit on the clothing issue. It’s true that yet again Britney is scantly clad in this video (as is usually the case), but I say go for it. I think it’s wonderful that Britney is confident and proud of the way she looks and no one should criticize her for having confidence!
There’s a lot to love about this video. The cinematography, the story line, the philisophical undertones. All in all though, I really have to say my favorite part are Britney’s boobs. Since she’s now well over 21, I don’t feel nearly so bad pleasuring myself to her videos 7 years ago.

I think the video is highly disturbing. Obviously Britney has some issues. I’m sorry, but let’s get real people. My point is that the bible was written by men, and does not necessarily reflct the true nature of God. Using verses of the Bible to refute God does not pass a logical test in that in order to prove a case against God, you must accept that the Bible is the true work of God. Once you accept that the Bible is the true work of God, you already believe by default. The circular nature of the argument cannot be avoided.
