PG joins the likes of Nick Cave as legends take on by Karin on Fever Ray 7″ releases. This one’s more of an “interpretation” than a cover, Ms. Ray manipulating some of the lyrics, using her own words to suit her purposes. Here, then, are some more of her own words:
We made it more intense and faster to fit our eccentric pecussionists [sic] and energetic live musicians. It is a monotone track but we worked with the dynamics trying to make it sparkle. I listened to it a lot when I was around 15, and it still moves me. It made me start reading Anne Sexton too.

There will be a download available later today at NME for a short period of time, then a proper digital release and limited-edition 7″ via Mute on 9/17 in the U.S. and through North America, and in the coming weeks for the rest of the world via Rabid Records.
Also, here’s Peter doing “Here Comes The Flood,” with just piano, for Guitar Center. It’s quietly titanic.
