Guess they aren’t skipping it this time. Thom Yorke took to TV to pimp this year’s NARAS event, his band is nominated for five statues, and now Radiohead is confirmed to join Paul McCartney, Justin Timberlake, T.I., Kanye West, Jay-Z, Coldplay, Lil Wayne, and Katy Perry as performers at the big show, airing 2/8 from the Staples Center in L.A. So it’s worth reassessing: Is Radiohead more or less likely to take out Krauss/Plant’s Raising Sand for Album Of The Year?

  1. I guess you could say that they’re going to bring the place down like a HOUSE OF CARDS!

  2. ice age coming, ice age coming

  3. OMG! That’s very exciting news. I wonder what song they will play?? Probably not Idioteque but I second Sarahspy’s nomination for it.

  4. The only thing that can hamper this news is the fact Katy Perry is performing at the Grammys.

Shouden’t Katy Perry/Grammys be considered an oxymoron?

Are they finally giving Radiohead the best band ever award after their performance?

  6. I might actually watch the Grammys now.

  7. why are radiohead participating in this glorified circle jerk? Either way the Grammys are dead and dying.

  8. 2 reasons to watch the grammys now.

the other: matching MMJ bear-related outfits.

I read that they will actually be doing a duet with Katy Perry. These guys are just trying to increase their “indie credibility” by attaching themselves to her rocketship of fame. What nerve….

  10. do they get to bring their own lights or will they use Grammy’s?

  11. Well, now I’m going to Tivo it instead of skipping it completely.

    My bet’s on Reeeeeeeeeeeeckonaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
