Victoria and Alex have always shined live — our first night with them was cross-legged under the Christmas lights of Cake Shop during CMJ four years ago, where the small but stuff room of critics were instantly converted — though on the back of Teen Dream their more dynamic trio setup, bringing live drums to the mix, they’ve proven to be a festival charmer as well as tiny LES basement dreamweavers. So it’s nice there’s this new live EP released as a document to the effect of their in-person personnel expansion, released exclusively for iTunes and produced by Chris Coady. It spans six tracks, featuring four from Teen Dream, Devotion‘s “Gila,” and this new one, “White Moon.” Hear the fresh one here:
But the six-track here.

Absolutely awful. Why the hell are these people still getting press?
Oh wait, I see. Because the writer (s?) at Stereogum are in some kind of secret handshake club with Beach House. Giving these guys press is like greedy movie producers funding another scriptless Adam Sandler summer money-grab. It’s just flat insulting.
HA reminds me of this:
this song rules
