This is a second stab at a clip for Live It Out‘s “Empty,” the first being a pilfering-puppets-and-live-footage cop out. Promo offers up the new iteration, one with more dramatics, more reverse-filmed flying debris, and maybe most importantly, more Emily Haines closeups. Watch it here (via P4K).

The video is alright but of greater import is the fact that Emily Haines is obscenely attractive.
she is ok…but her chin is huge.
That’s a pretty awesome vid.
It’s unclear to me why Metric isn’t a bigger band than it is.
Hot frontwoman with seductive but fragile voice? Check.
Dynamic and approachable 4-min. rock songs? Check.
Songs that feature words like “disco” and “coke”? Check.
Mesmerizing video? Check.
i think it’s a little cheesy…
at points its really neat, visually, but i’m not a fan of how emily’s movements look… they just look cheesy. and that fade just as the guitars kick in is a prime example.
that aside, i liked it more on a second and third viewing. it helps that its a great song… originally, anyway. this clips features a different version than whats on the record. they cut out some of the intro, and there is just something up with her vocals. they sound higher pitched and a lot smoother. i prefer the version on the record.
emily does, however, look absolutely amazing in the video.
I fucking love Emily Haines. . I would go gay for her for sure.
After actually watching the video. . .it has too much of a likeness to Mary Poppins for my liking. . .
man she’s rockin’ out
the puppets video wasnt official
and yes, metric should be huge
disagreed. emily’s voice live is less than admirable, and the show was hardly impressive.
