Peter Parker likes indie now, and like any self-respecting music fan in the digital age, he’s all about showing off his taste on his MySpace page. So head to myspace.com/spiderman for previously unreleased (and entirely awesome) cuts from the Walkmen (“Red River”) and YYYs (“Sealings”). So much better than Hoobastank, eh Spidey? The Yeah Yeah Yeahs track isn’t new. It was on a video game soundtrack a while back.

  3. The MS page does say the tracks are ‘all new’, though. I really like the YYYs’ song – one of their best.

It’s actually a leftover track from Show Your Bones that somehow never ended up on there. Shame though because it’s pretty good.

The Flaming Lips – “The Supreme Being Teaches Spiderman How To Be In Love”

This just made me laugh so hard. How sad that would be if the spiderbite destroyed him.

  6. I saw the Walkmen tonight and they played a set of almost all new songs including “Red River” which was amazing. Hope their new album is out before the end of the year.

I’m kinda curious as to why the Flaming Lips had to change the title of their song. Originally, it was reported as “Spider-Man vs. Muhammed Ali.” Did Cassius Clay not allow his name to be used in such a manner?

Sealings is so AWESOME!! I love that band.
This is the 1st soundtrack in a helluva long time that I will actually go out and buy.

The YYY song is best one by far. Walkmen one is not so bad either. I checked itunes store but nothing is listed yet.
