“Kettering” to be exact. The song provides the emotional glue tying together HBO’s upcoming offerings, from Avatar to Boardwalk Empire. It even adds a little emotional resonance to the clip from Eastbown & Down and the boxing match previews. But I also get the feeling that this song was basically picked because Sia’s “Breathe Me” has been used too often and that song from “Noah Takes A Photo Of Himself” was unavailable. The song is great even without seeing Alec Baldwin and Meryl Streep post-coitus. Watch:

  2. yeah… I tried to get that song for an independent film last year but I guess HBO offered more money than nothing … ;( Oh well, I’ll always have my rough cut.

  3. At least it worked well for Up In the Air. Not so much for, well the rest of it, but specially Curb Your Enthusiasm.
