Ah, actually Dept of Eagles was formed 3 years before Grizzly Bear. And u seriously don’t know that they’re both fronted by Daniel Rossen? Dumbass.

After a comment reaches -25 points it should instantly be deleted. The voting system is getting out of hand, and is drawing too much interferance to what used to be decent discussions. Eventually all of the reasonable people will just leave and all Stereogum will have is an overloaded Youtube style comment section of worthlessnoise. Just a warning.

This song is amazing too. Elvis was a great pick. I think they should do an albums worth of covers from this era. They really fit the sound.

  7. While I believe they made a notable choice (“Love Me” is also a favorite song of mine, if not my very favorite Elvis Presley tune), I can’t say the execution did much for me. Why mess with greatness? That’s all I’m saying. Seek out Elvis’ take on it and compare. And this comes from a man that loves his covers … one hell of a lot! Carry on.
