In an April ’09 post about Lilys/Rod Coles’ makeover of “Already Over,” I called Violens’ “Violent Sensation Descends” “one of last year’s single best pop songs.” It’s been made fresh again via this French-sung duet with Charlift’s Caroline Polachek. The slinky update lacks the original’s dynamic pull, but its worth checking out the transformation. Polachek took the above photo of her singing partner, Violens’ main man Jorge Elbrecht.
