Florence Welch’s performance at this year’s VMA’s was a standout (though, admittedly, the rest of the VMAs was unusually boring). It turns out the the post-VMA glow around her single, “Dog Days Are Over” has brought her 2009 album Lungs from #44 to #14 on the Billboard 200, according to The Guardian. This Yeasayer remix is part of the renewed push. Some special synth sound choices here:
Lungs is out now via Island. A digital single with this remix will be available via iTunes 10/12. The 7-inch will be out in independent record stores later in October.

Great hypnotic mix of one of my favorite bands by one of my favorite bands.
A pretty good remix, I just don’t like that they messed with the vocals so much.
Meh.
Yeasayer is great, but I must say I think overall their original stuff is stronger than their remixes. Heard a good alt-electronic remix of David Bowie recently by Nuclear O’Reilly
