Kanye West track “Lost In The World” found its way to the internet. It’s the one that samples Bon Iver’s “Woods,” and one of about 10 Justin Vernon says they worked on together (“Monster” is another one). You hear the bits of “Woods” (from Bon Iver’s Blood Bank EP), at the start, before it moves into a kick drum heavy beat and some “Power”-esque vocal clips.Heads up that YourAudioFix tagged the source file:
According to Pitchfork, it also contains samples from Gil Scott-Heron.

this is excellent. he really utilized justin vernon the right way. “monster” was not quite there in terms of bon iver-iness.
a little bit less than a minute in when Kanye sings I’m lost in the world on top of “I’m up in the woods” and then the beat kicks in = perfection
ok. that’s not the beat i was expecting to kick in. but it’s fantastic.
soooo goood
this is more what we had in mind when we thought about a collab with Justin Vernon
All due respect to (the fantastic) Black Milk, but I have a feeling Kanye’s gonna drop the album of the year on us….
ahh.. i see what you did there.
When this was announced a bit ago as an upcoming single, I was extremely excited. I thought it was going to be THE GREATEST THING EVER. Then I heard this for the first time, at work, with my headphones in my crappy laptop…and just thought it was okay. Then I went home, and listened to it again, this time without any expectations…and gotta say, though my expectations are always ridiculous, this almost meets them, and that says a lot. Pretty amazing…and I can see now why this wasn’t a single, because it’s more than just a “radio” song.
Goddamn that is sweet. Kinda wish the Lil Jon impersonator screaming YOUR AUDIO FIX DOT COM would piss off though. Eh, at least they posted. I can’t bloody wait for this album to released… ily kanyeeeee.
I am pretty sure that that is actually Lil Jon on the song haha, but I hate advertisement like that through songs.
This is sweet. I also loved the Monster Mix, and pretty much everything else Kanye’s released as of late.
I can’t believe he sampled for this song.. its so simple.. smh
F’n brilliant how he brought back the Monster chants near the end!!
Well apparantly this is a demo, and Kanye has cancelled the rest of GOOD Fridays because of the leak. I guess we’ll have to wait for the album now :(
Worth it.
BMORE CLUB!
“According to Pitchfork, it also contains samples from Gil Scott-Heron.”
Did you listen to the song?
This song is fucking INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He really worked on this one….nothing short of SPECTACULAR.
“Building a sill, to slow down the time”
turns into
“Im new in the city, but Im down for the nite”
he’s simultaneously speakin for me & to me
2 different messages = Hip-Hop
but at the core,
the message is trying to satirize america’s psyche rite now
I’m sorry, but I just can’t let that http://WWW.YOURAUDIOFIX.COM! slide. I’m excited to hear it without the watermark.
Vernon really brought something to the table in this one. The cut from Woods went so well with the drum break in the beginning. Yeezy is one of the very best producers of our time no doubt.
now excuse me while i visit youraudiofix.com. damn their advertising is flawless.
