Bat For Lashes’ excellent new album Two Suns has plenty gorgeous stuff on it. For instance, we showed you an earlier live incarnation of “Moon And Moon.” If I had to choose favorites, though, I’d point to those Chippendale drums and general windblown feel of opener “Glass,” the chilly, running-in-the-dark dance-floor love song “Daniel,” and Natasha Khan’s ghostly, spare “it’s curtains down time” duet with Scott Walker, “The Big Sleep.” Fittingly, the latter’s the closer … because (a) it’s about saying goodbye and voices fading and (b) it would be difficult following up a guest spot, however brief, from a vocal genius. Well, if you wanted to have yourself a great, dark listening experience, you could follow it with Fever Ray, but first this:
“Daniel”:
You can hear “Sleep Alone” and should listen to “Glass” and “Daniel” again at her MySpace. And, if you haven’t gotten around to it yet, explore Scott Walker’s back catalog, starting with Tilt and The Drift.
Two Suns is out 4/6 via Astralwerks.
UPDATE: Check out the awesome “Daniel” single cover. Wax on…

This album is really fucking good. “Two Planets” is a killer track.
I agree the whole album is dope…glass and good love rock my world right now
she has an impressive array of headdresses. where does one even find a headdress?
The Bjork Store (a subsidiary of American Apparel)
Scott Walker’s voice is magical. Toads turn into princes whenever he sneezes.
wow, Daniel is amazing!
FYI. It’s “Two Suns”… not “Sons”.
Makes you think of her recent cover of the Cure’s ‘A forest’ when the bass starts moving in ‘Daniel’ , very Seventeen Seconds…dark and lovely….
Can’t wait for the full release!
It’s like the missing bass line in her recent cover of the Cures ‘A forest’ reappears here in ‘Daniel’, love it when that track starts moving!!
How many macaws must lose their tail feathers to fuel this indie obsession with headdresses?!
wait other people are wearing them now!!?
Never mind, I’m over feathers.
Amazing album, Siren Song, Two Planets, Glass, Good Love…….. I’m in love with Natasha. Lucky Me, i’ll see her in Paris in mai! There will be 600 other people, but I don’t care!lol
Yes! One of my most anticipated albums of the year.
shes a shaman.
FYI — “Moon and Moon,” not “Moon on Moon.”
This album has two great songs, “Glass” and “Daniel” the rest is OK
I agree with 2. The rest of em just don’t stick.
