Earlier this week, Velvet Revolver released the Melody And The Tyranny EP in Europe, on which they cover “Psycho Killer” and prep to rock you with their forthcoming Libertad LP. It’s no “Once In A Lifetime” by the Exies or anything, but both covers share that genius production technique by which you are virtually guaranteed to want to rinse out your ears with bleach afterwards. Head to The Modern Music if still you can’t resist (it’s okay, we couldn’t either).

Dear fucking god.
I- I’ve got nothing. Anyone else?
It sounded good live.
Velvet Revolver, Marilyn Manson, Rage Against The Machine, all in the same week… I’m starting to realize I’m reading the wrong blog.
It’s funny how you get a comment like “fuck this blog. its all marilyn manson blah blah blah” every day. and yet membership doesnt seem to be declining at all. stop leaving empty threats.
Also Rage gets a good deal of indie support, as many comment threads will show. And bands like Velvet Revolver only come into focus on the blog when they need to be made fun of. Deal with it or go away.
Beulah’s version is better.
This is bad, but that Exies cover is still worse.
After listening to this, I can’t decide what hurts more: my ears or my brain.
